Laugh for the Day
I was advised to get traffic to my sites, that I should look into answers at Yahoo. This morning I was looking at the latest postings and I came upon a question about the name of a book. I thought I might know the answer, so I checked it out. The lady who wrote the article was looking for a book about a woman who hit a rancher’s cow, had sex and then got pregnant. I don’t know about you, but the way it was worded it sounded as though she had sex and got pregnant with the cow. I did not know the name of the book, but I got a great laugh!
By the way, supposedly if you answer questions on Yahoo, it will get traffic coming to your site, but I am not sure how many people on the site are over 30 years old. They all sound very young, down to 13 years old. Has anyone tried out this strategy?
Life Gets in the Way
Life sure does get in the way sometimes. Here it is after 5 pm, and I am just getting to my computer. After spending the day going to doctor visits, etc. I am worn out, but wanted to get a few words out today.
I am frustrated about the drop in activity with land sales. I have land for sale in Ocala, Florida and there does not seem to be any market for it at this time. First I had it listed with a realtor, but she did nothing. (With big sales, I can understand why a salesperson would not spend a lot of time on a $39,000 deal.). I develop a website, www.blacksinkprairielots.com to sell it, but I am finding that I am not getting much traffic. I have calls all the time from marketing companies wanting to have me hire them, but I do not have the $5000 that they want. If I could sell the land, maybe I could hire them.
What a catch 22! I have been given some hints as to how to market it better, but if anyone has any advise, please let me know. I know that my website is decent; I just need the right people looking at it. My niche market.
One of the things that I find difficult is deciding what is top priority to work on for the day. With dial up computer service, I do not get very far each day. I seem to jump around a lot and get confused as to where I am going.
Well, maybe I can sell my land and get a satellite computer hookup. Due to where I live, that is all that is available. No cable, fiber optic lines or air cards in this county farm community. It is great living in the country, except for that!
